Skater Girl is a coming-of-age story set in a remote village in Rajasthan, India. The film on Netflix focuses on Prerna, a teenager who lives according to her parents' traditions and imposed obligations.
But when Jessica, a London-raised advertising executive, arrives in town to learn more about her deceased father's childhood, Prerna and the other children ofThey discover something wonderful when they see that Jessica's friend travels around the town riding a skateboard.
The children become fascinated with the sport and start skating everywhere, and they decide to encourage and promote this new passion, by trying to get a skate park built in the town.
