Netflix will launch the docuseries Crime Scene Murder in Times Square, the new true crime series created by Oscar-nominated director Joe Berlinger (Crime Scene: Disappearance at the Cecil Hotel). The Netflix series will be released on December 29.
Crime Scene: Murder in Times Square follows several seemingly random acts of brutality that shock even New York's most seasoned homicide detectives and stoke fears of an elusive serial killer operating in 1970s Times Square, a place almost anarchic where forbidden fantasies took place, including murder.
The documentary series It portrays a wide range of subjects to bring the era to life, from residents of Times Square to police officers on patrol. With exclusive access to Jennifer Weiss, the daughter of one of the victims, the series also highlights her efforts to identify others who have remained anonymous, lost in an infamous and distant time.
