A Babysitter's Guide to Hunting Monsters is based on the first installment of the popular horror book series by Joe Ballarini. Tamara Smart, Oona Laurence, Tom Felton star in the family film on Netflix. The film is directed by Rachel Talalay and produced by Ivan Reitman and Amie Karp, with Naia Cucukov, Tom Pollock and Ilona Herzberg. The story follows high school freshman Kelly Ferguson, she reluctantly agrees to babysit Jacob Zellman on Halloween, the last thing she expects is to be recruited into an international secret society of babysitters who protect children with special powers from monsters. . To keep Jacob safe from harm, Kelly teams up with the chapter's no-nonsense vice president Liz Lerue, tech genius Berna Vincent, creature expert Cassie Zhen, and potions master Curtis Critter to defeat a Boogeyman known as "The Grand Guignol" and a glamorous witch named "Peggy Drood" and her legion of mysterious monsters.
