The movie It is based on the novel Ghetto Cowboy (2009) by Greg Neri, about a young teenager who is sent to live with his estranged father in Philadelphia, where he learns about the local urban cowboys and contends with his direction in life.
Philadelphia Cowboys Netflix, is inspired by the urban cowboys of the Fletcher Street Urban Riding Club in North Philadelphia. More than a century old, the club teaches horseback riding to neighborhood children as a way to instill good values and skills for the future.
