Netflix has released the romantic comedy film, Amor de Cuento, starring Iliza Shlesinger. Amor de Cuento premiered on Netflix on June 23 and tells the story of a woman who, after years of giving her career more priority than love, comes across the perfect man. In theory, it seems to tick all the boxes, but is it really as ideal as it seems?
The official synopsis of the Netflix movie tells us: Andrea Singer always prioritized her career as a stand-up comedian and, while getting dates was never difficult for her, love was never a priority either... until she meets Dennis, a scatterbrained nerd with an irresistible charisma that takes her down the guard. Her best friend Margo doesn't think the candidate is all he seems and pressures her to embark on the impossible mission to discover who Dennis really is.
Based on an (almost entirely) true story, Storybook Love is directed by Kimmy Gatewood, written and starring Iliza Shlesinger, owner of sharp and hilarious humor. Rounding out the cast are Ryan Hansen, Margaret Cho and Rebecca Rittenhouse.
