This feature film Netflix documentary tells the story of the iconic footballer Pelé, his quest for perfection and the mythical status he achieved. Exclusive interviews with Pelé and stunning archive footage, interviews with former legendary teammates.
The story looks back at the extraordinary 12-year period in which Pelé, the only man to win three World Cup titles, went from young superstar in 1958 to national hero in 1970; a radical but turbulent era in Brazilian history.
PELÉ is directed by David Tryhorn and Ben Nicholas and produced by Oscar-winning filmmaker Kevin Macdonald. In addition to Pelé, the interviews are with Zagallo, Jairzinho and Rivellino among others.
