The movie is set in the Spain of the postwar period and follows Narcisa (Aria Bedmar), a young novice with supernatural powers, who arrives at an old convent, now a girls' school, to become a teacher.
As the days go by, strange events and increasingly disturbing situations begin to torment her, leading her to unravel the terrible web of secrets that surround the convent and stalk its inhabitants.
Sister Death is a prequel to Plaza's previous film, Veronica (2017), and is expected to be one of the films most anticipated horror movies of 2023.
