What is season 1 about? The Imperfects?

season 1 of The Imperfects follows Tilda, Abbi and Juan, develop unique abilities seven years after being diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder as teenagers and undergoing an experimental treatment led by Dr. Alex Sarkov and Dr. Sydney Burke. Until recently, they were taking medications that kept their secret powers dormant, but now they are out of pills and their powers are emerging and changing their lives.

Tilda, the lead singer of a punk band, develops a banshee scream and hypersensitivity to sound, rendering her unable to perform. Abbi, a studious college student, begins producing hyperattractive pheromones, attracting unwanted attention and interfering with her plans to become a scientist. Juan, an art student who dreams of becoming a graphic novelist, begins to transform into a bloodthirsty beast, endangering everyone he cares about. Burke is willing to help them, but she needs the cooperation of Sarkov, who is nowhere to be found.
