The fourth season of The Sinner focuses on a new case, with the main character of the cast of the series, Harry Ambrose (Bill Pullman), assisting in the investigation, even though he is now retired.
The scene is set on Hanover Island in northern Maine, where Harry is traveling with his wife Sonya to recover from the grueling case he faced a year earlier. But a tragedy involving the daughter of a prominent family on the island leaves the locals stunned, and Harry is called in to assist in the investigation.
