The Teapot Dragon Netflix movie and Sony Pictures Animation is released on June 11 in the streaming platform.
The new movie in Netflix is an animated family that tells the story of Din, a working-class college student with big dreams and few resources, and Long, a cynical but all-powerful dragon capable of granting wishes.
They embark on a fun adventure through modern Shanghai in search of Lina, an old childhood friend of Din's. Their journey forces them to answer some of life's most important questions... because when wishes come true, you must decide what really matters.
The Teapot Dragon is inspired by the well-known Chinese fable about a wish-granting spirit that inspired Aladdin, and is a remake of the classic "genie in a bottle" tale from 1001 Nights.
The film on Netflix is an animated production by Jackie Chan, featuring the voices of Jimmy Wong, Constance Wu, John Cho and others. Directed by Chris Appelhans and written by Xiaocao Liu alongside Chris Appelhans.
