A Forger Among Mormons Netflix docuseries will be available on the streaming platform on March 3.
The true crime docuseries is directed by Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite) and Tyler Measom (An Honest Liar). The three-part Netflix series is about a trio of bombings that shocked the Mormon community and completely threatened the historic foundations of the church.
Produced by BBC Studios and Jannat Gargi, Mark Hofmann: A Forger Among Mormons Netflix follows the true story of a series of homemade explosives, which kills two people and seriously injures another, shaking the epicenter of the Church in Salt Lake City, 1985. The murders send further shockwaves through the community when a trove of old Mormon letters and journals is found destroyed in the vehicle of the third victim, Mark Hofmann, a renowned collector of rare documents, including the infamous Letter from the White Salamander, a artifact whose contents threatened to shake the very foundations of Mormonism.
As Hofmann fights for his life, investigators race to uncover the truth. This is the first comprehensive look at one of the most shocking crimes to ever take place between the Mormon community and the criminal mastermind behind it all.
